Goodbye June (Nashville)

Rock

The three members of Goodbye June know about the healing power of music. It’s what brought them together. When Tyler Baker’s brother, who was serving in the military, died in 2005 following a car accident while on leave, the family got together in Southern Indiana. Baker and his cousins Brandon Qualkenbush and Landon Milbourn started playing music as catharsis, over the next few weeks developing songs and eventually deciding they had what it takes to be an actual band. After playing around the MidWest for a few years, in 2009, the cousins moved to Nashville, Tenn., to more seriously pursue their careers in music. The trio’s debut album, Nor the Wild Music Flow, was released last year; Goodbye June’s sophomore album (produced by Grammy-nominated engineer Paul Moak) is currently in the works, as is a fall tour of Europe.
